The Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) is the largest program of its kind in the state, operating as a mobile dental clinic that delivers essential oral health care to underserved communities across Texas. Typically hosting four events annually, TMOM adapts to the needs of each community—smaller towns may host a 20-chair clinic, while larger cities can accommodate a 40-chair setup. Local communities are invited to apply to host an event, and once selected, community leaders take the lead in planning and coordinating the many moving parts—from registration and triage to treatment, prosthetics, and hospitality. In cases where a host community is unable to meet its fundraising goals, the TDA Smiles Foundation is proud to offer financial support to ensure the success of the event.
